After a record breaking rookie campaign, Jayden Daniels has cemented himself as the pack leader of the 2024 draft class. Poised to be a generational talent, Daniels lead Washington to a 12-5 regular season record, a Wildcard Playoff victory over #3 seeded Tampa Bay, and the largest upset of his rookie campagin, taking down #1 seeded Detroit in the divisional round advancing Washington to their first NFC title game since the 1991 season.

On the surface the fanbase and organization are elated, but alas, a dark mysterious force lurks deep within Northwest Stadium. One that has been plauging the NFL since the day it opened its doors in 1997.

There have been countless major injuries that have occurred at Northwest Stadium, all which have occurred under former owner Dan Snyder's tutelage. One of which came close to resulting in death (Alex Smith, 2018). The exact reason for these disturbances are unknown. Some say it is a coincidence, while others speculate the grounds were cursed to punish Dan Snyder for years of wrong doing while at the helm of the organization.

The most notable injury to plague Washington draws parallels to the 2024 season. Back in 2012 rookie sensation Robert Griffin III lead a offensive rookie of the year campaign along with being the only rookie QB make the starting Pro Bowl roster. Washington was finally primed to make a historical comeback and rebuild behind the dominate play of RG3. Unfortunately, during RG3s second season, Northwest Stadium, known as FedEx Field at the time, took that dream away. RG3 suffered a torn ACL and from that point on he was never the same. His time with Washington came to a close in 2015 and he was out of the league a few years later.

I bring this up because as it currently stands Jayden Daniels is also the front runner for offensive rookie of the year as well as being the only rookie QB selected to the starting Pro Bowl roster. With the lease on Northwest Stadium not set to expire until 2027 with no realistic plans of Stadium development until 2030, the fans must endure the cursed Stadium for an additional 5 years. Could history repeat itself?

I urge the new ownership group to expedite plans for a new stadium, and in the meantime gather all of the local Shamans ahead of the 2025 season to perform a cleansing ritual. Or hell, call up Peyton Manning, he's got a track record of performing successful exorcisms.
